We all hate to leave our pets in the hands of someone we don't know... We wonder, "Can anyone else in the world love and take care of my animals like I do?" Ehrlich Animal Hospital understands your concerns. We know that if you have to have anybody care for your pet while you're away, you want to make sure that it has the same care and attention that you would give it at home.

In addition to our hospital, we have a kennel with a total of 47 runs for dogs, a special boarding room for cats, and another room for exotics. We are one of  the few kennels in the area to have a separate room for cat boarding, which means less stress for your feline while you're away. There is a kennel technician on duty 12 hours a day to make sure that your animal gets all the proper care that it needs. For your convenience, we also offer Sunday pickup. We now also offer "playtime" for your pet while he or she is boarding, where you can request daily cuddle time, extra walks, playing with toys, or brushing.

All animals receive a complete physical examination the day they enter boarding to make sure all pets are free of disease and parasites. Doctors can also give vaccinations at this time, as every dog and cat needs to be current on their vaccines before boarding.

The dog boarding is set up in such a way that small dogs are separated from the big dogs. For your pet's comfort, there is a bench in each kennel, varying in height for different sized dogs.

If you wish, we can provide a soft and warm blanket for your dog to sleep on. Dogs are fed and let outside for exercise twice daily, unless you request otherwise.

Water bowls are checked constantly and refilled as needed.

If dogs are here for more than three nights, we give them a bath at half the price of a regular grooming bath. This is to make sure that they are clean and odor-free before they go home.

If you don't bring your own food from home, we will feed your dog Eukanuba Low Residue, a dog food recommended by our Veterinarians for complete nutrition.

Cats

All cats get their own "kitty condo", a large condo divided by a wall with a "cat-sized" hole in it. One side has a bench for perching on or sleeping under, and the other side houses the food, water, and litter pan.

Cats are also fed twice daily, unless you specify otherwise. We will feed them Eukanuba Feline Maintenance.

The kennel techs will often let the cats out, one at a time, to roam about the cat boarding room and get a little exercise.

We provide toys for the felines to play with, and a soft towel to sleep on.

Litter pans are checked throughout the day and changed as needed.

Baths are available for cats upon request at a regular grooming price.

Carriers for the cats can be kept at the hospital or taken home with the owner.
